H&M Ad Black Kid’s Mom Attacks Celebs For Standing Up For Her Son, Fans Are Pissed
Soooo…this is quite an interesting twist of events. In the past few days, everybody and their mommas have been pissed off with H&M for putting a hoodie on a Black male child that read, “The Coolest Monkey in the Jungle,” but the kid’s Mom is NOT angry at all. In fact, she let off a string of comments on social media, as if she was pretty much offended by the fact that millions of people, including LeBronJames, Diddy and more, have been standing up for her child in a way that she, herself, clearly did not.
Her name is Terry Mango -a Sweden resident of Nigerian decent- and that young king she’s raising is gonna have to fight an uphill battle to learn self pride and dignity if his moms continues the deliberate deflecting path she’s currently on. You see, when we first reported the story of how H&M displayed that child in their racist hoodie, my first thought was ‘Who are his parents and why did they let that happen?’ Well, now I know why. His mother sees absolutely nothing wrong with her son being degraded as a “monkey” for a profit and thinks that we should all “get over it.” Ain’t that a trip?!! Check out what she wrote below…
Mother Says “Get Over” Monkey Ad
She then went on to claim that she ‘really doesn’t understand’ the problem, stating:
Terry Mango: ‘Am the mum and this is one of hundreds of outfits my son has modelled… stop crying wolf all the time, unnecessary issue here… get over it [sic].’ She then went on to claim that she ‘really doesn’t understand’ the problem, stating: “Not coz am choosing not to but because it’s not my way of thinking sorry [sic].’ In a separate post she added: ‘Everyone is entitled to their opinion.” That ain’t all though, she then became mad that people were leaving comments about her odd outlook, so she continued: ‘Not coz am choosing not to but because it’s not my way of thinking sorry
‘Everyone is entitled to their opinion.”
